Default Only 1 sensor on valve cover

So I got new valve cover from a member here, received it a while ago.... got it chromed.... now it appears to have only 1 sensor for the camshafts (I presume it's for that).

My old valve cover has 2 sensors, i presume for no 1 and 2 camshaft.

Has there been a change in valve cover design or location of the sensors?

What's wrong here?

I asked the guy and he says it's a MY00 version valve cover which is same as my car. Though my car is a European version.

There is two, actually three differant S2000 Valve covers. There is an AP1 cover (00-03) with Two Sensors, there is an AP2 Cover (04-05) with two sensors and lastely the one you have, AP2 (06-07) with One Sensors.

Here are the pictures of the valve cover. Will it be a problem to use this valve cover with an AEM EMS?

The metal PCV valve (first picture, the outlet sticking out on the right just above hole) doesn't look like an AP1 plastic PCV valve.
And that exits from above, not from the side.
IF it still is a PCV valve, it might just be a hose connector.

Where would you mount the other TDC sensor?
Does the AEM EMS expects two signals from 2 TDC sensors?

That is an MY06+ valve cover. I really don't know if it will work with EMS. The sensor is differant. So is the PCV valve, but it that will work with the AP1.

ok thanks mate!

My tuner says it's no problem with the 1 sensor. With the AEM it will be fine.
