did you disconnect your battery? if you did, you have to re enter your code for the radio.

Haha, my buddy did that when we were working on his car. Scared the begeezus outta him and left a nice scar on my socket . Other than that things are fine....he just has this funny twitch now.

You'll need your radio code to reset it.

You shorted the battery to ground and that must have casued a temporary loss of power to the radio. As FISH22 stated you will need to enter the anti-theft code for your radio in order to make it work again. This code should be given to new owners and is located on a small plastic card. I wrote mine down in the owners manual on the page that describes how to enter the code. If you do not have the code you will need to convince a local dealer that you are the legal owner of the car and they can get it for you. Some dealers charge a fee for this service, and you may need the serial number of the head unit.

Search for "radio code" here, as there are several older threads with detailed info. But in brief, first look inside the center compartment for a sticker (black #'s on white sticker)--that is the radio code. If it's not there, pulling the radio to find the s/n is a 15 minute job needing only a screwdriver. DIY and save $95.

On that same sticker, is there another row of 5 digits above it, all in the 1-6 range? On mine, the radio code is the first line, 5 digits, then a second line (smaller font) has a number that looks like what you posted...might be the s/n or some subset of it. For what it's worth, my sticker is on the passenger side of that center compartment about halfway up from bottom to top.
