Default Ouch Engine Failure

So my 2002 AP1 has just over 100K and is Gready turbocharged. Yesterday I was driving in the rain. Gunned it in first, second, and third. I heard possible detonation and let off. Engine threw a cell and would no longer accelerate. The car cranked but sounded like it had no compression. Also the cell went away (thanks E-Manage)!?!?

Today I pulled the plugs and discovered cylinder #2's plug was smashed (Pics to follow)!!!

I looked inside the cylinder and all of the pistons look black and dirty. I am mechanically inclined enough to do some motor work but I think this is above my head. What do you think the diagnosis is guys?

My psychic diagnosis is that the noise you thought was detonation was actually the head of a valve bouncing around inside the cylinder.

lol that's what I figure. Hopefully the long block does not need to be rebuilt.

you need to open that sucker up and see whats inside. only posting pics of a squished plug makes it seem all you need to do is replace the plug.

take off the valve cover and see if any valves have dropped or bent
