Default Outside Rear-view mirror shaking

So I noticed one issue with the S recently. It appears that the drivers side outside door mirror glass moves and shakes around with our bumpy roads here in Wisconsin. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem and been able to solve it. Thanks in advance!

My driver-side vibrates a bit more than my passenger side. Always has. Never tried to fix it.

Leave Wisconsin.

You may want to check the "putty" condition behind the mirror. If you pull on the bottom edge of the side mirrors, slowly with even pressure (may take a minute or two depending on age) the mirror will pull free. You will then see how the locking tabs are designed and with that, the (usually) white non hardening putty that is used to keep the mirror in place in the tabs and serve as a vibration dampener. Add some more (too much and it will be difficult to push mirror back into bracket) around best when putty is warm or just bunch up what you have and reinstall.

If you are at it, buy a new Honda mirror for right hand drive cars. It convex and does not have the stupid warning on it about objects are closer.

I bought one (tried the non Honda one and returned it; optics were crap) and can't imagine life without it now. Love it.

I forget who sells them but you can by a pair of the convex mirrors with a blue tint. Forget what I paid but it was under a $100. It was a vendor here, maybe Modidiction...

That would be really nice. I will take an eye out for those.

I think I might try those. They look really good. I saw on that page that the mirrors require slight modification to replace the stock glass. I was wondering what modifications they might be talking about. Do I have to remove the current mirrors from the plastic casing and install the convex glass in the OE plastic case?

Thanks in advance.

You pop the mirrors out carefully by prying from the bottom. Heat (some using hot water while others use a blow dryer). It's a very easy remove and replace. I did mine in under an hour (Moddiction). Do some searches, there are several instructional ones ( best is from a Spoon install). search here for "blue mirrors".

Yeah I found a couple of good writeups out there. I was just curious if the Moddiction mirror needed to be installed into the OE mirror housings, which they do. Thanks for all the help.
