holy crap...how fast were you driving?

first off...

-you MAY or may NOT have damaged the valvetrain and the CEL flashing on and off and the idling, misfiring maybe a completely unrelated problem to your valvetrain. i would get a scan tool and see what error codes your ECU stored.

-get a leakdown test done on your motor. if you've get large varations between each cylinder then chances are you need to rebuild your valve train.

-pull the valve cover off and using a dental pick and dental mirror, check for cracked retainers, since you already have the valve cover off and i notice you have an AP1, now might be a good time to upgrade to AP2 retainers.

good luck!

Yep...stop driving it. You can do a leak down but it very likely you'll need to pull the head. Hopefully the valves didn't break and are just bent. If so then a head rebuild should get you back on the road. Broken valve will morethan likely mean a new motor.

If you have the right tools go for it. Even though this task is very precise. It is recommended though you resurfuce the head. Sometimes it isn't only your vavles and retainers, at times where teh valves sits, gets damaged..

If you replace the valves, you are rebuilding the head. Or do you mean JUST replace the bent valves? Just take the head to a reputable machine shop familiar with doing Honda heads and let them replace what needs to be replaced. Just don't bother with any of the extras like port & polish (which can cost you hp on an s2k).

^ agree.

Try to take the entire head, as is, without taking out the valves or anything. That way they can look at it and be able to see every single part, as part of the whole, and even compare one to another. It's just easier for them.
