Default p0420/p0133 check engine codes

well I just took off my aem wideband that was wired into the stock ecu

i ended up taking out both o2 sensors and put each back in where I thought they went

I re attached the stock wires and everything was hooked up then my CEL came on

p0133 (pd)02
p0420 (pd)

could it be that I have the o2 sensors backwards and or not connected all that way?

keep in mind I have a test pipe and have never thrown those codes

any input would be great..I want to figure this out I am taking the s2k out of town tomorrow morning

thoughts/suggestions please

What year?

The sensors cannot be plugged into the wrong connector, however...if you've had both out of the car, it is possible the make the front 02 reach the rear hole and vise versa.

The P0420 is from the test pipe, you have to use spark plug spacers to fool the ECU to rid the code P0420.

I THINK, on an 05, the sensor with the GREY wire cover goes in the CAT, and the sensor with the ORANGE wire cover goes in the header.

I have had the test pipe in with the spark plugs things and never got ethier of those codes only p0411

but I'm pretty sure I have them in the wrong places orange in the test pipe and grey one in the header

if you unplugged the o2 sensors then plugged them back in the ECU might just need a reset(disconnect battery).. mine did that when I put in my test pipe.. I had the fix for the CEL(02 sensor extender thingamajiggy)lol.. and once I disconnected the battery to reset the CEL i had no issues until the weld cracked and my o2 sensor blew out of the test pipe , talk about loud ass VTEC

I remeber the colors because it was opposite an 00-03. They had grey in the header. Blue in the cat.

You need grey in the CAT

Reset ecu after...I think reversed o2 can cause both your codes.

Another thing...handle o2 sensors with care as if they were made of glass. The smallest bang will break the heater circuit and your CEL will soon return.

ok because before I started the car once eveything was hooked back up I disconnected the battery for about 3-5 mins then went for a drive and the CEL came on and those codes came up

I guess I should switch the sensors and put them in the right places and dis connect the battery and see ?
