Thumbs up P1259.

Hi.

I have installed V-AFC about a month ago.

And since then, I've had check engine light coming on twice.

Both were P1259.

I've done some search and found that it was VTEC system failure.

When the check engine light is on, it limits rpm around 5800.

And after a while, the CEL would just go out.

Anybody have this kinda problem?

Anybody got an idea of how to prevent this to happen again?

You have equipment issues with the VAFC, or faulty/incorrect connections.

Remove the VAFC and you won't have the problem. The issue is either in your VAFC settings, or the wiring it's spliced into.

I see.

I will check the connections, again.

I haven't tweaked around with the setting yet.

Thanks for the answers!
