Default vafc 2 installed and then a CEL!

after i installed the vafc 2, the car started up seemed to be good. it then started having trouble holding idle. it would come down to 900rpm for like 2 seconds and the just die. it doesn't do it every time i let off throttle, sometimes it holds fine, but other time it will just die.

this is the code i got: P1259 VTEC System Malfunction

i haven't v-tec it since i got the code about 35 mins of driving after vafc 2 installation.

is this a setting that is wrong in my vafc 2? or my mistake in wiring it?

I did reset the vafc 2 and fallowed the set up instructions by setting the cylinder # (4) V-tec type (1) and sensor type (1 in) (1 out).

I didn't mess with anything else. please help!

checking connections whe i get home...

this isn't a rough idle. it just drops out some times. would the p1259 code relate to this problem?
