Default p1259 AFTER VAFC INSTALL

SO AFTER I LEAVE MY TUNER I NOTICE I CANT GET PASSED 6,000 RPM'S. VTEC KICKS IN A 5,000 AND THEN RIGHT A 6K IT BOGS DOWN LIKE IF I HIT REDLINE. OIL PRESSURE IS GOOD, VTEC KICKS IN NICE, AND VTEC CONNECTIONS TO SELENOID ARE ALL ON.



NEED HELP PLEASE.

The P1259 code is a VTEC System Malfunction.

YA THATS WHAT THE P1259 IS. ITS A VTEC MALFUNCTION. BUT RIGHT BEFOR I GOT IT INSTALLED VTEC KICKED IN FINE. THEN AFTER THE INSTALL IT RESTRICTS ME FROM PASSIN 6K RPMS.

Check your connections first. Then hit up the search button at the top right of your UI. There have been plenty of issues just like this one and most are documented there.

for me it was the vtec oil pressure switch, so I'd check that.

not entirely sure if it had to do something with the connection but soon after I replaced just the switch on the vtec solenoid, the cel went away and I was also able to drive past 6k rpm.

well yesterday i nplugged all plugs to tha vtec selenoid and everything worked. the CEL went away and the drive home was good. but this morning on the way to work i got on it and i was at about 7800 rpms and it felt like i hit red line and the CEL came back on and i was limited to go past 6000 rpms again

well apexi left out that u were suppose to slice in to the VTM cable which is the vtec oil signal. problem solved wroks great now
