P1259 code just won't stop coming on
So I have had this p1259 code coming on for awhile. I just pull over and clear it, and continue on my way. I have figured out how to make it happen so I simply avoid making it come on. I figured out that if I hover around the vtec engagement for a few seconds it will pop that code and disable vtec. It is only when you hover around that rpm where vtec engages for a few seconds is when it will happen. So I tried cleaning the little screen out. Nothing. Tried replacing both vtec gaskets. Nothing. Tried taking the whole spool valve apart replacing gaskets again, and cleaning the entire thing out with brake clean. Nothing. Tried replacing the oil pressure switch with a known good one. Again, nothing. So I finally said screw it I will try an entire new spool valve assembly. Came with new sensors, and gaskets. Took it out a bunch trying to make the code come back, and I couldn't get it to happen. Cool. So the car sat for a month while the weather sucked and I was having a fender painted. Drove it to and from work all weekend and it was fine. After work this morning took it through some twisty roads playing around then as I was hovering around the vtec engagement point, it throws a CEL. So I pull over and check it out and it's a p1259. Clear it and go about my way no problem. Does anyone have any advice or opinions on this??? It's driving me up a wall trying to figure it out!? Oil level is perfect, new spool valve assembly, wiring look good. MY 2000

Haven't checked oil pressure yet, I replaced the intake valve spring retainers and keepers with ap2 about 2 years ago, but it was still throwing a p1259 before I did those.
