P1399
My car started throwing this code yesterday. It only does it on cold start, sometimes so bad the car will actually die. I'm thinking it might be my injectors? Would that be a good place to start? Kind of a vague code.... Any advice on where to start? I jsut recently replaced cylinder 3 coil pack with the '04 part number (REPA504601) if that helps at all..
Thanks.
Thanks.
try these first
swap a coil pack and see if the code moves cylinders
swap and injector and see if the code moves cylinders
those are the two easiest ways to tell if it's an injector or coil pack issue. if it's not an injector or coil pack i'd do a compression test

I had the dreaded P1399 for a while. Mine felt like it was running on 3 cylinders. I did the valve adjust, cleaned IAC, new plugs etc etc etc. In the end in turned out to be a coil pack. A good place to start might be the plug that goes onto the coil. Make sure connections are all good, no broken wires and such. Easiest place to start I think would be the plugs and coils packs. How many miles?

About 85k, the only time it misfires or runs improperly is on the first start in the morning. Other than that she runs fine, sometimes the RPM's dip below idle for like half a second whenever I push in the clutch.. But thats it.
