Default P2138 CEL & Intermittment Accel sensor failure

The dreaded P2138 CEL is back. After replacing Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor for almost a year, the jerkiness came back swiftly followed by the CEL.

The most irritating part is that the code appears and disappears all on its own. It pops up and lasts for half a day then disappears. I can be cruising or giving it revs and it will randomly appear.

Need some serious help here to solve this permanently...

damn

When I had issues with mine several months ago I replaced the app sensor and the relay underneath the dash. Good luck, man.

I also unplugged the wiring harness from the ecu and cleaned the pins to the ecu and the connectors from the wiring harness with some compressed air. If you decide to unplug the connectors then see if any of the wires on the connectors are loose or have a loose connection.

I hate intermittent problems, its like they have a mind of their own.

Anyone with alternative ideas on how I could fix this recurring issue?

Maybe the Tps Sensor is bad again or wiring to it is bad.

Tried to isolate cause of app sensor CEL by reverting bsck to stock tune to see if anything changed. Nothing happened.

Changed back to the original tune and went tracking, even clocking a good time and still no CEL. Totally no idea why this CEL comes on and off as it pleases...

That sucks, loose wiring/connections will do that. I've said it before and I'll say it again..."I hate intermittent (electrical) problems!!!"
