Default P2646 CEL

hey guys so im posting to help out the owner of my ex-s2000.

He contacted me recently after about 3-4 weeks of ownership saying the CEL code P2646 came on. I think it has something to do with the vtec oil sensor low voltage i forgot.

but he cant rev over 4k.

He checked the oil and it was fine and the connections near the vtec solnoid are fine.

car has intake, exhaust, testpipe, greddy emanage ultimate with plug n play harness.

i think someone told him the emange may be at fault and i advised him to unplug it and see how the car runs off the oem ecu by itself.

I dont see how the emanage could suddenly malfunction though...

any ideas/suggestions?

thanks
- Harry

Yes. Ditch the EMU, see if it still happens.

Didn't this guy just post in the PNW forums?

haha yes i bought the car and drove it up to washington!
well i tried it out today.. and everything works fine. Like I said before, it only happens sometimes.

today i was able to rev all the way up to 7k+ rpm. Yesterday, it would bog down as soon as i hit near 7k and the engine light came on o.O

and i still had emanage plugged in. im guessing its one of the sensors thats gone wrong. anyone can chime in?
