CEL P1259
Engine Mods are: Invidia exhaust, Berk High Flow Cat, K&N FIPK, and Greddy E-Manage Ultimate. Before I say anything, the EMU was installed and tuned by Shawn Church, a very competent tuner. Vtech was also lowered to 5500 rpms I believe. I used AutoZone's ODB 2 scanner to check the CEL.

The CEL won't go out automatically...but more than likely the low oil was the problem with your VTEC engagement and CEL.
Clear the CEL (see the FAQ at the top of this forum). See if it comes back on.
Recall that when Shawn tuned the car he probably did 10+ redline pulls on the dyno...that partially explains your increased oil consumption in the last couple months.

that's exactly what i was thinking...of course, this is after it happened. I should have addressed the oil consumption a little more proactively after tuning. Got busy traveling with work and the holidays. Thank the honda gods for backup safety measures though.
I didn't know the light won't go off automatically though, so that eases my fears. Like i said the car operates and sounds fine again...the light just wouldn't go off.
I'll change the oil and filter tomorrow and reset the light afterwards. See what happens I suppose.

Always check your oil before and after a tuning session. Not to change the tone of the thread but it may also be emanage related. Change your oil and get back to us. I owuldn't drive it until you atleast check and add oil if necessary.
