Default packing peanuts in exhaust...

so i bought a used hks exhaust this week. it arrived nicely packed in one hundred billion packing peanuts.

i pulled my old exhaust off the car, and bolted up the mid pipe. then i moved further back to the dual division and i noticed lots of packing peanuts in the pipes!

crap. its already on the car. i fished a few out with a flathead but there are still some in there.

so should i pull the whole exhaust off and be sure there is nothing in there, or should i just turn the car and rev it up to blow/burn them all out???

i dont really know how flammable these little things are...

they will ignite but most should blow out when you fire up the car.

Do it!

Start the car up, rev it up and then shut it down. If you run it for like 10 seconds, the exhaust will remain really cool by the time it gets to the packing peanuts.

The only thing I would worry about is if some get stuck in there somehow. Then melt and stick even worse. It would take a long time for it to completely burn away and would smell like burnt plastic after every drive.

stuff bubble wrap in the exhaust too so when you turn it on it sounds like it backfires in idle......

VIDEO TIME!

I think the second you start the car they should fly out - and will not have time to get hot enough to melt to the pipe.
