Thumbs down Part Number for Oil Press. Sending Unit

I'm wondering if anyone has the part number for the oil pressure sending unit on a 2004 s2k. I've searched everywhere and no luck. Please help.

You may want to call them and check just to be safe.

The oil pressure switch is mounted on the engine block, not the valvle cover. It is part number 8 in this pic. it does control the Low oil light on the dash. So is that what you are talking about?

Yes, it is #8, but I see that #12 connects to it, and I was told that its a whole unit, so the part number I was given wasn't right. The right part number is the one I listed.

Apparently its on NATIONAL backorder....WTF?!?!

I believe #12 is just a small screw that holds the wire against the switch. That part can be transfered from the other unit that you are removing.

ok, so I have the right part, right?

Rick: Can you post a picture of it and then where it is in one's engine bay so I can make sure this is right?

I'd gladly buy this part from you if its right.

OK, just got the right part number from the body shop:

37240PCX003 SWITCH, OIL PRESSURE

I apologize skibum, I was originally told by the people you linked me to that it wasn't what I was looking for, but then contacted the shop who has my car and was told that it is.

Rick: do you have this part, if so, please PM me ASAP so we can work out a deal.

Found it.

Just in case anyone in the future has the same question.
That is the part number for the Vtec oil pressure switch. Number 16 below. This is NOT the light on the dash.
