Default Passenger Airbag

Ok I have an 04 ap2 and just got a new passenger airbag from an 07....the airbag fits in the dash and everything, but the only problem is the connectors dont match. The connector from my car has 2 prongs and the airbag has 4 prongs.Do they make a conversion kit for this or something or will I have to just cut and splice the wires together? Will this work or am I just better off selling the airbag and buying an 04 airbag? Thanks

I may be wrong but I think the 07 air bag is a two level air bag. It may blow at a reduced level with a light person in the seat. I'm speculating though. It's either that or has to do with being able to disable the passenger air bag (not designed that way in the 04). You really would need schematics to tell. Still, I wouldn't be screwing with it, I'd just get the right air bag.

It's the wrong bag, and there is way to adapt it to the earlier car. If you try and splice the end you will make the bag completely useless.

Dont do it your endangering yourself and others that ride in the car. It could possible go off for no reason or not go off at all.

Don't do anything but get the correct airbag for the car.
