Anyone know for sure either way. I just installed a new door on my 2001 s2000. The door is from an 04 S2000. All hinges etc match up no problem but it seems like the plug doesn't match up. Is this correct? Man I screwed up buying this if they are in fact different lol. About to rain and now have the 04 door on and can't put the window up.

If anyone knows please let me know ASAP!!

The connectors are different. 00-03 is a 18 pin connector, the 04+ is a 20 pin connector.

The doors are the same, it the wiring harness that is actually different. So just swap the harness.

 

Thanks for the info. Damn I wish I had looked into this before I bought the door yesterday lol. I threw my original one back on my car. The new doors color was different as well since I had some paint work a few years ago so looked off anyways. I didn't want to mess with the wiring inside the door too much and the plug definitely didn't work so now I have to try and sell the door and just have mine painted. What a waste of $600 haha. Also bought the hood but I'm sure the color is off a little as well so would need to paint that anyways so no need to swap.

 

I see this is an old post but in addition to the 04+ being 20 pin, it seems the connector for the door motor is 6 hole in the 00-03 models but 4 pin in the 04+ models.
