Passenger window won't roll up!!! What da Hell
I know that there are a lot of problems with the auto down function on the driver window, but have any of you had problems with the passenger window? I just put my top up, and the window rolled down, and now I can't get it to go back up. It is dark outside, and I don't have my owner's manual, so I haven't tried checking the fuses, but the driver side works fine.
Now that is pretty stupid! I didn't think of that, simply because I figured it should still work from the driver's side. Why would the switch disable the driver's ability to roll up the passenger window?!
Thanks.

Thanks.

Its got to be one of the biggest design **** ups of all time!

So, the windows need to be rolled down in order to put the top up so the extra force of the top hitting them along with the pressure doesn't cause problems by slightly forcing the motor to reverse or breaking the glass itself. I don't know how likely you'd have problems, but why risk it?
Also, most people leave the windows down for at least a few minutes after putting the top down, so you'd be putting the windows down more often than you put them back up currently.
So actually, it is a MUCH better design than most people would give credit for.
And if you're putting the top down, you should have the windows down anyways unless doing over 60 mph, when it actually helps quiet the wind noise. I know I'm not the only one who thinks cars loook retarded with the top down and windows up.
Now one thing I am willing to bitch about is the window lock and not having a god damned button to unlock BOTH doors on the driver side. I HATE reaching over to yank on the incredibly poorly placed and sized latch on the passenger side.
