Default Picked up a 05 s2000 w/ a bad engine

Well , picked this car up for a good deal.I was hoping to fix the overheated engine .Got the valve cover off ,and off course this thing is baked.

So I'm down to either selling / parting whole car . find ap2 engine ,or LS1,2J swap . Having trouble finding a T56 of course .

ANY input welcome . Not trying to start a war on what engine goes in what .Just looking at bang for the buck .

Define baked...what under the valve cover would make you say that?

#3 and #4 cylinder camshafts. pink and blue and baked with oil .intake camshaft has wear marks on the lobes . #4 cylinder coil is melted in the plug tube . 3 cylinders have no compression . didnt even bother doing a leakdown . blew coolant out of the plug holes after topping coolant off on #2 and #3.
i was hoping to rebuild it ,but just by pulling the cover off tells me the person proly drove it till it quit and puked its guts out .

Only draw back is you won't be able to see when it hits 9k on the ap2 tach if you do decide to swap pcms

I did the opposite, 05 motor in my 01. The harness and everything is the same. Im running the ap2 harness and ap1 ECU. It was just like swapping an AP1 engine back in.
