The A pillar snaps right off. Once you get it off, it's easy to see what holds it on.

If you bought a ScienceOfSpeed gauge pillar, you will have to screw it back on It does not snap in place.

Last year, someone posted pictures of where you can plug your electrical in. IIRC, it's below the dash, between the steering column and the kick panel. There are two "sockets" to plug in female terminal leads - one is switched (turns on with the ignition), and the other is unswitched.

I'm doing the same gauge project this weekend. Bought all my stuff (gauges and pillar) thru Autometer. The senders/hot/ground connections are easy. Anybody know a convenient place to tap into the dashlights? Maybe the fuse or console switches? Thanx

Deef, just tap into the headlight fuse under the dash.
Nick32, purple wire goes to the 02 signal wire (usually either a green or white wire)

There is no need to splice the headlight wire. One of the open sockets in the fuse box has 12V only with the headlights on. you can plug the wire in there.

Find which one with a volt meter or test light, no volts untill the lights are on.

i have to go to the green or white wire coming out of the o2 sensor?
do i run the wire all the way down there, or is there a closer place that i can run it to for it still to work?
