Default Planning on Spoon Air Duct....?

Hello everyone!

I just got my '01 s2k last saturday, and now I want a new air filter and spoon air duct. At first, it seems like a straight forward take out the stock snout and put in the snorkel..

what I realized is that there are two studs on the bottom of the stock intake mouth. How did you guys get the snout off? I don't seem to find a way to dismantle the piece without cutting it out, which I don't want to do, unless I must.

Thanks!

You have no choice but to destroy those 2 fasteners. Here's a thread on the snorkel install:

They are aluminium rivets. Just reach inside the bell with a dremel or side cutters and clip them off. If you ever needed to replace you could use rivets or a cable tie or just let the lid hold the bell.
