Default PLEASE HELP! Knocking noise from the rear

Hey i have an 2000 model s2000 and heres the thing.

About 2 months ago i started hearing loud squeaking noises for my rear suspension. Took it to the mechanics and they said you need to change the shocks. Anyways i bought a set of Ap2 rear and front shocks. The mechanic put em in and notice it was still squeaking, so they put it back on the hoist and notice my cross-member was loose. All the Screws were loose so they tighten em all up and the squeaking was gone.

But heres the thing, now everytime i take a corner alittle hard, go over speed humps or full hook the steering wheel, it make a knocking sound from the rear end.

I took it back to the mechanics and they hoist it up again. They looked around and everything looked fine. So they started re-tightening the cross-member and everything underneath the car and nothing was lose.

So its still knocking..... what could it be????????????

These types of threads are always hard, because we can't hear your knocking noise and what you call a knocking noise might be a pinging sound to someone else...

Have you checked ALL of the following:

Wheel bearings
axles
exhaust hangers
diff bushings
u joint
shock mounts (tightness)
lug nut torque

If I think of anything else, I'll post it.

It is obviously something the mechanic did.

My guess is any suspension component that was removed to put the new stuff in is not tight enough or improperly installed, plain and simple.
