I am getting this popping noise coming from the front of the passengers door. just about by the a pillar. it only happens when i go over a hard bump or pot hole. any ideas? thanks

 

a-arm bushings.

do you have an ap1 or ap2? If ap1 you have to replace the entire a-arm. Replace them in pairs...both driver & passenger side if you can afford it at all.

 

its an ap1 its an 01. umm i had it up on the lift today at work and everything seemed fine. all the bushings are all right. i went on alldata and got all the info on that tsb about the seams breaking and the brackets for the a arm were fine too. i dont know what the problem is everything seems to be fine. the weirdest thing is the noise really sounds like its coming from the front of the passenger door.

 

The front lower a-arm bushings are not easy to see if they are damaged with the a-arm on the car. The rear bushing on that a-arm is the most frequent to go bad.

 

Not to jack the thread. Whats the cost on a-arms for an AP1?

 

About $200 for the lower fronts...
