Oh no, it's worse than that... The thread is from 2 years ago. The original poster, just 2 months after posting this, sold me this car without informing me of ANY of this. I just found this thread during my search for into on how to diagnose the current problem. He told me nothing about the valves, the replacement head (though I had a good idea), the money shift, etc. He totally lied by omission.

Time to let the thread die, I suppose. I’ve got no recourse and nothing else of value can be gained here. Thanks for the support, folks. Some people out there will just rack up negative karma their entire lives and only hurt people that do their best to be honest. Life lesson.
