you can go the used motor route, for a LOT less than 9k, but you dont know what happened to the motor before you bought it. If you fine with that, I would definitely have a look on ebay and the used parts people.

I have found some motors for pretty cheap, but unfortunatly i have learnt, you pay for what you get....
