Default Noob Questions about Fuel pumps

Alright, so long story short, car won't start up after a short driving distance. Car is a CT S/C'ed AP1 tuned with Infinity with Grams 320lph fuel pump + injector combo and it's pushing 350whp. The battery is still good, that's for sure.
So regularly when you turn the key to ON position, you'd normally hear the fuel pump buzzing, but today I did not hear anything buzzing so I checked the ignition coil and fuel pump fuses down in the kick panel (there was another one in-line, can't remember what that was), but they're okay. So I'm quite positive that it's the fuel pump that's dying.
Before jumping to conclusion that my fuel pump is busted, I'd like to check whether the fuel pump wiring was busted. I've read another thread saying that factory wiring will overheat and the pump starts to lose pressure? I might have burned the wiring, I'm still unclear.

Things to consider if the pump is busted:
1) What pump should I buy if the pump is busted? Probably AEM, Aeromotive or DeatschWerk? Bosch's price is twice my budget, so that's out of my list.
2) Which fuel pump is the easiest to install? Plug and play?
3) Do I need to replace the sock?
4) Do I need to upgrade the wiring?

Thank you in advance!

This happened to me on my Audi S3 running 500BHP...

Luckily with the S3 you have an in tank pump which i kept stock and then i had an external bosch 044... when the bosch used to fail (which it did, twice) then car would still start as the internal pump would still work, but if i tried to floor it the car wouldn't come onto boost!

You should check as well the fuse that your fuel pump is on.. on a few occassions my cars fuel pump failed due to excessive strain, so i upped the AMP of the fuse from a 15 to like a 25 and it worked fine.

Just make sure your fuse is ok first

Are you running that pump on stock wiring? If not, you might have melted a wire somewhere. Pull the housing and double check all wiring going in and out of it.

I'd recommend one of the SoS kits if you're interested in a plug and play replacement.

AEM is a great way to go. Not totally sure if it's fully plug and play.
