Is it possible to do a 'fly by wire' to throttle cable conversion?

Pseudo-intellectuals attempting to assert themselves on an s2000 forum. I guess I'll move on since they're intent on hi-jacking this thread.

They must do an ITB conversion for later S2000 though, wonder how they work
No they use an actuator

The "DBW" S2000's still have a throttle cable attached to the pedal. The pedal cable goes to a pedal position sensor, and the pedal position sensor opens the throttle body. A common issue on Hondas of that period is the pedal position sensor failing.

I suppose you could convert it to non DBW, but the amount of effort and hassle is not worth it. You would basically need a non-DBW intake manifold, non DBW valve cover, you'd have to convert the fuel system from returnless, you'd have to get a stand alone ECU, or downgrade to a non DBW ecu(if that's even possible) to control the idle air control valve. And a whole bunch of other stuff I'm missing.

You are a curious one, you come here asking for expert opinions, you get it, do you want the technical details on how to do it? It's easier and more productive to just take the advice of people who have been there and done that, instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.

Actually people did answer your question well. I have autocrossed and driven a CR back to back with my AP1. I noticed no DBW delay at all. I have driven other cars with DBW where it is noticeable but not on an S2000. But this was answered as was what you asked about converting it. It is not a straightforward job and if your area requires you to get emissions checks it may or may not fly. If you really think you will be able to tell the difference then just wait for an AP1 to come around. There are plenty of them out there for sale. But having driven both, I would not hesitate on the one you mention if the price is as good as you are saying, and that is with me using the s2k as 99% track car.

Uh can you two perhaps provide a more meaninful dialogue in which to nurture the question within your bosoms now that you've asserted your superiority?

OP wishes to please just stick to the topic. Ok?
