Default Possible Misfire?

Driving into the city yesterday my temperature gauge skyrocketed, however I was stuck on the harbor bridge and there was nowhere to pull over, so it ran hot for a while.
When I finally managed to pull over I noticed a hose had disconnected from the bottom of the air intake.

I arrived at my destination, put the pipe back, and filled the rad with coolant. After that the car drove fine for a while, then it started shaking heavily while idling, and was very significantly down on power. While driving home, temps were fine, but trying to get up a big hill something happened, car lost even more power and made a noise like the engine died a little bit.

What could this be? Have I fried my car?

How long were you running the engine & at what temps on gauge, while on that bridge?

Check your oil dipstick for water (chocolate malt look). And radiator fluid for oil. May have popped a head gasket.

Was worried about this, and I think you might be right, engine was run hot for 3-5 minutes.
There was a bit of oil on the rad cap, time to see how much head gasket jobs are.

You can use a radiator pressure kit to check whether you have a leak in the coolant system.

Good luck!
