Default Is it possible to order a new key from Honda?

There are small dents on my key after dropping it that gives it a rough feel when inserting into the ignition. Feels like I might be damaging the ignition if I continue to using the key over and over. Can I order a brand new key from Honda with the S2000 logo?

The key blanks come uncut, they have to be cut and programmed to the car.

As mentioned above, yes you can. I called a local dealer about a month ago, since my S only came with 1 key. If I recall correctly I was quoted somewhere around $140.

I bought my own key, took it to the dealer during lunch and told the Service Mgr I'd come get it at 5 and it cost me $50.

$50 to cut and program?

The '06 S key is expensive.

35111-S2A-307 023 001 KEY, IMMOBILIZER (MAIN)(BLANK) 136.22 95.35

Sadly, it's cheaper than the '04 S key.
35111-S2A-306 023 001 KEY, IMMOBILIZER (MAIN)(BLANK) 175.38 122.77

But at least I have the option of getting a plain black key.
35113-S9A-A01 024 001 KEY, BLANK (MAIN)(BLACK)(IMMOBILIZER) 29.97 20.98

Can you file/grind/sand the burr off of the key so it goes into the lock cleanly?

The logo is scratched up and faded pretty badly. I thought I mind as well get a brand new key. 93.55 + dealership to cut it should be around 130.00?

Call them an ask if they can do it for $110.
