(oh to add I woudn't go back to your neighbor, he obviously isn't a mechanic if he says a flashing check engine light is no big deal if it turns of)

unfortunatly nightmare might not be over..
it just might slowly creep up on you..

Also, while you're at it, get rid of that crap intake. Its not worth it for 2 hp.

If you search for hydrolock on these forums, you'll always find that it coincides with AEM intakes or knockoffs of that intake. Parking your car during a downpour will probably cause this same problem unless you build an umbrella for your filter.

If your "friend" cleared the code, Honda will not be able to read it. At this point, keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best.

AEM's a great intake, especially when we start talking summer heat soak. But anyhow...

Hey guys back from the dealer and nothing ... phew. They did a diagnosis which took like 2 hours it felt like and came up clean. They said it was probably a minor misfire due to a poor air/fuel mixture. They said everything looked fine and it shouldnt be a problem but monitor things closely for the next little while and if the check engine light ever comes back to bring it in asap. They said if there was any little water in the engine it would have evaporated already. And if there was alot of water or a bent valve or something serious i would feel it.

$105 is worth the piece of mind. Thanks again guys youve been really really helpful.

Oh and yes i am thinking about swapping my aem v2 for a stock or buying a stock and then selling the intake. Its not worth it at all imo.

Thanks Stealth ... yeah i like the way the intake sounds but i was pretty worried the last few days not too sure its worth it. As for taking a convertible with a CAI into a high pressure carwash ... lets never speak of it again.

Just how much water can the car take in. I notice that when I wash my car, water tends to drip near the bottom of my intake(FIPK). I obviously dry it off before taking a drive; But I just wanted to know if lets say, a quarter sized drop will harm the engine?
