Angry potential damages of mis-shifting

hello everyone, i just picked up another s2k recently and i did the most heart wrenching thing just now, and am hoping someone can help put some worries to ease.

i was driving on the fwy doing about 80ish and was going to punch it into sixth to avoid another car but accidentally shifted into fourth! does anyone know what potential damage this can do to a car and a new ti exhaust, especially since mine is under 4k miles. : sighs : i am hoping i didn't do anything irrepairable to my car. any feedback is greatly appreciated.

You would have to be going over 100mph to over-rev 4th gear in an ap2. You should be fine.

AP2 4th gear redline is 100mph. You're fine.

thanks for the detailed graph ckit and to everyone for the reassuring responses.

i've read your threads billman and know your expertise so that counts for a lot.

however i just want to make sure that y'all know that i was actually in fourth for a good 1/2 sec before i clutched again

so basically as long as my car didn't hit redline in the mis shift i'm fine?
