Default POWER LOSE

Looking for suggestions on this one.

I have an 04 S2K, no problems, purchased with 25,000 miles, never really been able to do a burnout (know these car do not have good factory clutches), not that I beat on my car. At 36,500 (expired warranty) I had a sudden lose of torque.

I did the following thing after the power lose:

1: Check compression, here are the readings #1 210spi, #2 225psi, #3 211psi, #4 210psi

2: Change my park plugs to Boch Iridium +4 ($11 a pop), I did get a slight boost in power by the way.

3: Fuel injector cleaner, this did nothing.

4: Air cleaner (filter) is OK.

What next?

I work at Audi and had an Audi Tech look at it, he said that my clutch is going. I'm just not sure of this. I just do not want to spend money on a new clutch and pressure plate and maybe even a fly wheel and find out that this isn't my problem.

Any Ideas?

if you floor it in gear.. and your rpms go up and your speed doesnt.. u need a new clutch..

test your clutch

put it in 1st gear.. ebrake all the way up.. no gas.. just release clutch pedal slowly and if it does out or starts to grab at the very end of the pedal travel you need a new clutch ..

please explain more on power lose.. and no torque.. s2k dont ahve torque anyways lol

Next thing I'd do is put the stock spark plugs back in.

No reason to put the stock plugs back in, the car only got better with the new ones... and the clutch is very drivable, and it grabs, I'm just thinking that it may be constantly and slightly slipping. just enought to feel about a 20bhp lose.

DOES any one know if a sensor or something can cause this kind of power lose? No engine light on. New Oil. Basically the car no longer has the KICK, it feel as fast as a CIVIC SI right now.

I had a BMW once, a Porsche Boxster also, and now an S2K, the BMW was a nice car, I liked it. I now work for Audi and an RS4 will kill any M3 or any BMW (check 5th Gear for sources), by the way your m3 doesn't handle all that well (but its nice, I like them), go drive the other cars, you'll learn (S2k and lots of other things are better around corners), and now unless you have something to help me with, go race a mustang cobra in a straight line or something...

LAME!!

I was making a joke of the people who make jokes about the s2000 not having torque. I sold my M3 to buy an S2000... if that helps you understand how I feel about these little cars.
