Yep, just follow your steering column towards the front of the car, and you will see a sensor plugged into a black plastic cylinder around the end of the column, just before if goes into the rack.

TRD,
any word on the fix? cold has been here for a few days now. I'm curious.

Last year there were a few days where I had NO power steering all the way to work.

by the way, what is the EPS reset procedure? I might want to start with that since I had to sell all of my worldly possessions (including floor jack) and move to an apt.

I cleaned out the plugs today. Didn't help.
The wheel don't jerk if I turn it very slow. But when I turn the wheel sorta quick it gets jerky. Like eps is cutting on and off rapidly.

Any other resolutions to this? My steering has gone all to hell all of a sudden. I've tried the EPS re-learn and it had no real effect. I took out the fuse to see if it was an EPS issue or something mechanical and it was much more docile. I'm leaving the battery unplugged over night tonight to clear out all the faults (there mere none until I took out the fuse) and memory.
I'll check the connections and do another relearn tomorrow...
It seems like a lot of people have had these issues over the years and there hasn't been any real concensus on a fix. sucks... I'm ready to sell the car it's so bad.

I feel your pain!

There are quite a few things which can cause it unfortunately. Is it off all the time, or does it reset?

You probably know this but the EPS can go off if the idle is too high for a short time at idle. Clears by driving the car a few metres.

Checking in:

Anything under 70 degrees outside makes the eps intermittent at best. Above 70 degrees, my steering is 100%.

I'm going to look at my connector plugs and see what the condition is. I don't think the torque position sensor reset procedure will work for me.

Note: I've never had the EPS light on. (besides starting the car up)

I have an EPS module for sale if any of y'all are interested in trying that out; I'll cut y'all a break so that y'all can get your car working again...
