Pressure on the Shifter
I was told to try on the 1-2 downshifts to pause after putting the clutch in and then keep constant pressure on the shifter into second and then when the mainshaft speed is correct, it will just fall into gear with minimum effort. Now as i really liked the way this gave me a perfect shift i have become accustom to it and even starting doing it on down-shift. Now for my question, is this harmful for my transmission?
I read that it could be harming my synchros when there is pressure on the shifter but i wanted your guys' opinion. I Find that durring my 3rd to 2nd downshift the shift sometimes feels notchy/crunchy, is this avoidable and how so? (Ap2, 09 With 26,000 kms)

Never tried that, but it sounds unnecessary.
Instead of holding pressure on the shifter, try rev-matching by stabbing the accelerator pedal with the clutch pushed in to get the revs up. Usually getting the rpms up to 4k or more will do the trick. The downshift should go much smoother that way.
A double clutch downshift will also work, but the first method is quicker/easier, particularly if one doesn't know what double-clutching is.

Sorry. I wasnt clear on what i am doing. I am actually rev matching my downshift, i blip in nuetral but i find that when i put it into gear , Specifically 2nd i dont get that nice effortless feel of the shifter going into gear that i do on up shifts when timed right.
