correct, but if you would have connected the battery after naking the wrong connection it would have resulted in the same problem. Sorry that happened to you. Sadly i did it too!

I just connected them to each other while the tranny was outnso they were out the way then installed them correctly but turned on the car and got my cel and was like how did I ruin an o2 doing a clutch change

so thats it right? just reprogram the new(used, new to me) ecu to the key? Thats what I thought but i had a honda dealer tech on the phone telling me it also needed to be re-initiallized or something, I asked if he meant reseting the ecm and he said no it was something else. I thought it sounded like b.s. when he said it.

_actually just had a motor swap done during which they did remove the trans and replace the clutch. I do supose it's possibe they damaged the ecm in the process. It is also quite possible that the damage done by the rats caused a short...
