Default problem with axial shortshifter

from the gearbox especially at around 4000rpm...my mechanic had to initially sand down the bushing at the bottom of the shortshifter in order for it go into reverse properly (w/o sanding left the spring all the way down meaning i can go into reverse without pushing down...a big no no) now i'm afraid that he might have sanded "too much" and has no left a gap between the bushing and it's surrounding..my question obviously is...what can i do to fix it? (can i put honda's oem grease into it to make it stop?) or (can i put like some sort of foam between the bushing and it's surrounding in order for it to stop?) or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated at this time.

btw i checked to see if any screws were loose along the process and it isnt.

I think I'd get a new bushing, and a new mechanic, but even if you do both, your shifter may still buzz.
The main thread discussing the problem starts here.

Mine vibrates a little bit but nothing that you could hear. However, the shifter removes the sound deadening that comes with the OEM shifter so your probably just hearing the transmission...its quite audible
