Thumbs up Problem, Don't really know what to call it!

Ok, I'm going to try to explain this the best i can. I don't really know what is wrong with my car but it smells like exhaust or something all the time and i'm wondering what might be causing this.

Also... When i'm driving normal, the car sometimes feels like it's just going to die. It doesn't do it all the time only once in a while so i don't know if honda could really help me out b/c i've taken my car (different one) to honda and they said they couldn't duplicate the complaint so they couldn't do anything. Here's an example of this, Today i was driving, i was in 3rd and going 38 miles per hour and the car was kind of slugish and felt like it was going to die.

Well I really hope that all this somewhat makes sense to someone and someone can help me out. Thanks

sometimes after the cars been on for a while i'll press the gas and then the car will go down to 2 or 300 rpm but then it'll go back up. It doesn't always do that though, it's only every once in a while. Today when i was driving i had the top down and it didn't smell like exhaust so i dont' know what the deal is. Maybe i'm just worried about nothing.

I am, but it has never smelt this bad...ever.
I can only smell it driving with the windows down.
Idle, it never smells.

mine still has the catalytic converter, I'm more concerned about the car feeling like it's going to die if anyone knows what could be causing that!

I just bought an 03.

I am having the same symptoms as you as far as it feeling like it wants to cut out, then feeling fine 2 seconds later, and the idle, if I tap the gas it drops to 200-300 rpm and vibrates for a second then goes back to normal...but this is only some of the time...(3-4 times I drove it)

didnt have this problem in the S, but in my Civic SI. I unplugged the throttle body sensors and simply blew on it to get some of the dust out. Not saying this will fix your problem, but its worth a try.
