Hi Everyone,

Just thought I'd see if anyone else has experienced the same problem I am

The auto down feature on my driver side window is not working. Both, when I click the button all the way down and when I lower the top, the window does not go down. The button still works, but I have to hold it down.

I took it to the dealer, he claims that A. he couldn't reproduce it, even though I personally showed it to him. (I didn't watch him do it, so I'm not sure what the issue is). and B. That a new motor should fix the problem....??

They ordered me a new motor and it will be in next week... I figure I might as well let them try.

Any thoughts?

Thanks guys & gals!

Mine does the same thing but it is only intermittent. Let us know if the fix works.

Brought my car in to Weseloh for an oil change and to mount 2 new front tires, they replaced the driver's side actuator. Auto-down works fine now.

Had the same problem. Attempted to explain to the service writter and got nowhere. Spoke to the service manager who knew exactly of what I spoke AND produced a two page HONDA CANADA bulletin that detailed the problem and the fix. New motor order and the problem fixed!!!!!

I had the exact same problem... dealer couldn't reproduce it. As soon as I hopped in the car, the problem reoccured. Arghhhhhhhhh!!! Needless to say I don't really believe they tested it.

They talked to Honda and found out that this is a well known problem. Ordered the new part and fixed it at no cost.

I've heard it mentioned on this board that the two most common complaints AHM gets concern (1) the window motors failing and (2) the tires wearing out so fast.

My window started doing the same thing. In addition I put my top half way down, then stop, get out my window roll, put it in place, then continue putting the top down. When I stop the top, the windows stop as well, when I lower it the rest of the way the passenger window goes down but the driver stays at half. This just started happening. Anyone else?

My car is going into the shop tomorrow... I'll report back here after I get it back.

They say they need 4days to fix this and a small peeling section of paint inbetween the bumper and the passenger side panel (by the headlight). Seems like a long time, but if they fix everything its worth it .

s2k_Scott:

Here is a trick for the window roll... Just place it at the base of the top, it shouldn't roll off... Then just lower the top and bam the roll rolls in . Always seems to go to exactly the right spot too .
