Default problem with reverse lock

After about 30-40 minutes drive becomes non-functional reverse gear lock. When driving forward, I can easily put reverse instead 6. The lock is working again the next day. The exact time when the function returns I do not measured, I suppose a few hours. Where could be the problem?
It is interesting that when I bought the car lock did not work at all, the function is partially returned after repair other problem with shifting (transmission house was full of water, see this topic My link), but it was after a few days.

can you easily lift the shift lever up and down(like churning butter in the olden days) with no problem? because to me sounds like your missing or something is messing up the lock out spring on the shift lever. remove the shift knob, remove the center console then remove the shift boot holder then remove the 3 bolts holding the shift lever in place and remove the shift lever and look for a spring or anything that could be binding the spring up.

I already did (to solve another problem), everything seemed to be ok.I have some picture, however I dont know how upload it from my computer. The icon in the toolbar requires url adres.

I Can not easly lift the shifter. Maybe problem should be spring,it did not look too healthy.

there is a shifter lube TSB that is partially related to water in the shifter housing, did that get properly addressed ?, I would re-inspect it to see if there is still water under the shifter and to properly lube the shifter if it wasn't previousy done, you could inspect the spring at the same time, it could be a cracked nylon bushing on the shifter itself as well, I would inspect both nylon parts of the shifter while it is apart. Normally performing the shifter TSB helps with issues like this.

I have an identical problem and cleaning, regreasing and even replacing all plastic bushes and spring made no difference.. It's definitely related to heat as when the cars cool there is no issue. I also had the water pooled in the housing when I first got the car but cleaned that out. Only thing left for me is to dremmel the plastic bush as I'm fairly sure it's swelling with heat and causing the problem.. Anyone cracked this issue? It's only thing spoiling the S experience!

if the trans is very hot when was the last time you changed your trans fluid?(probably not the cause) but doesnt hurt to do basic maintenance if it hasn't been done.

I have not changed yet,I own car a few weeks, and when was changed by previous owner I do not know. By Honda dealer checked only fluid level. Car has 38 000 km. I agree, it does not hurt to do change trans fluid.
