Default problem with soft top

Okay so i have a problem with my soft top. Sorry for posting here but alot more people are in this thread and i need some advice. My top was replaced right before i got the car by a small upholstery shop. My problem is leaking air when driving windows up.. The leak is so bad the top actually lifts about an inch above the first bar. Ive done the washer mod on the latches and that has made no difference. Ive also changed the springs on the tension cables and that also has made no difference. It seems like the air may be coming in from the corner of the window right where the cable ends bc the top just doesnt sit tight enough.. Also the back of the top right by the window its seems like it was cut at some poing bc i can actually stick my hand into the car when i reach in. Ive glued that but its not perfect. What do you guys think it could be any help would be appreciated..

Shoot, I've never heard of that before so I don't know what to tell you. You should have never bought the S if the top wasn't installed properly.

At least I would have never bought it if I knew something was wrong with the top. Good luck though.

Sounds like the cables are not rivited in the front corners.

Here are some pics of the top. It looks like everything is installed..

here you can see where the window actually hits the top and has made a little mark. See how i can get my key in there right now.

Looks to be riveted

here is the back where u can actually see into the car. the dap cement i used was pretty old so it didnt hold at all, im gonna pick up a new bottle and do it again.

Sounds like the upholstery shop didn't know what the hell they were doing. Might have to take the top off and reinstall it again.

They definitely didn't . The back straps were not installed so the dealer told me where the shop was and I went there to have him look at it and maybe do it for free. At this point I knew where the straps were supposed to be. When I got there and showed him he said the straps are supposed to hook up to the tonneau cover pins. I just turned around and left when he said that.....
