Every piece of that side weatherstip is capable of holding itself in place with no type of glue or sealer.

Yes your cables look good.

In your third pic, you can see the rubber retasiner (silver) and thats no good. work with the weather stip pieces so they are completely snug into those silver pieces.

If it were me, I'd pull the top off the frame (maybe leave it attached in the back) and just reinstall it correctly.

There's some tricks to doing the top well and right, but an upholstery shop really has no excuse for doing it wrong.

Ok so i had some time today to take a little look at the top. which was to no avail. here are some pics

was this glue necessary

This is how the top was installed so i tried it differently like in the pic below. But that brought it too far to the front so i had to change it back

I also have a problem with this bar when putting the top up i always have to pull it forward...

I can still put my finger through here even with new springs

When i finished messing with it i decided to put tape at the front windshield where the top meets and i put some where the window meets the top but it still leaked. Im thinking this top is just a POS. Idk if i should buy a new one and install myself or see if a proper shop can mend this for me....

looks like a cheap top. New oem top is complete formed around the front, no glue needed anywhere.
