Problem Starting S2000 2 Weeks After Comptech S/C
Hi:
Two weeks after my S/C Install, I put the key in turn the ignition, hit the button and nothing happens!!! The battery and oil lights come on on the dash and that's it...nothing else is going on. Does anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it???
When I press the start button I can hear the Fuel pump working and a clicking sound under the dash is heard. My battery is at 100% and clean.
Please reply if you have in insight on the problem.
Thanks,
Everett

I think if it was the battery, it would at least turn the engine over once. If it was completely dead, the lights wouldn't even come on.
Either way, it's good to hear that it started for you...

The clicking sound should be the solenoid for the starter. If the lights came on the battery should be okay. If it happens again hit the starter with a hammer. This was how we fixed it when I worked at a used car lot. You may need someone to have a finger on the start button while you hit the starter.
