I'm from Spain and this is my first post here. I'm a owner of a 2007 s2000 with 176.000 km for like 10 years and all goes fine till this days.
I have encounter high idle this days, i have this symtoms:
- When i cruise with it, when i leave gas pedal there's 1 second that stay accelerate.
- The same happens when i change the gears, i need to wait few sec for stabilize the rpms.
- Idle in cold it's 2000 rpm like always, but when air pump disconnects, rpm goes upper a little more and then start to decrease, not like years ago that goes slowly lower just disconnects the air pump.
- If i cruise like 80 km/h if i go to neutral gear the car itself stays at 1500 rpm and no goes lower.
- Idle in 79/80 ºC it's 1.100 not 1.000 like always.
- No CELS.
- Car runs well, strong and in all types of range, vtec, smooth revving, all fine.
I made this things:
-Clean TB
-Clean Map
-Clean IAT
-Idle relearn
-Verify all the vacuums lines, reservoir, solenoid, from intake, air control valve...all.
I've made three photos: HOT//WOT//ENGINE OFF --- HOT//NO PEDAL//ENGINE ON --- COLD//NO PEDAL//ENGINE OFF
I'll try to clean outside the TB better and try to research about APP sensor because with this data logging i see a 0.49v when i think they need to stay at 0.3v and when wot it goes to 111%. In my Honda Accord y changed APP sensor but the symtoms are very different, when accelerate it made a little jump revving, not smooth, but never bad idle.
Thanks in advance and sorry for my english, i hope that you can understand it.
Clean throttle body inside. Brush/clean any carbon by throttle plate. Do the throttle body reset/Reset learned throttle position. Reset ecm/pcm, Then do idle learn.
