problems at WOT

Default problems at WOT

today i was driving and i hit v-tec a few times, and later on i was in 3rd gear with maby 4k rpm and it was normal, but then at WOT it started to be slugish and jumpy and when i went past 6k it felt as if vtec wasnt even engaged... any imput would be nice

Check your vtec solenoid, give it a good tap or just unplug it and give it a clean out. If that doesnt help check your map sensor, give that a slight tap too.

new problem just showed up i taped the map and the vtec solenoid and when i turn the key to on befor i press start it makes a wird noise and then when i turn it on it feels week and make a sound like metal scriping right after start, and when you give it a little gas it made a somewhat of a tapping noise

i checked the oil its fine and at right amount. today me and my dad tryed to check what the problem is and it would start up and as soon as it fires up it just shuts of by itself, and also its never thrown a code so that i can check what it is

Hmmm have u tried the ecu reset procedure? if not pull out the backup fuse for about a minute or so and plug it back in. Let it idle for about 4-5 mins before giving it a good drive. let me know how u get on..

^ im kinda scared to drive it even if i could get it to stay on, reading all these stories about droping a valve and stuff lol, im gona get my dads mechaninc to look at it, i wanted to see your guys input on this so that i dont have to drop a new motor in this thing since it only has 70k miles and is very clean
