Project Turbo S2000
Ok I'm really confused, someone educate me. Merging cylinders 1-2 and 3-4 on a 4 stroke 180 degree motor, they fire close to one another, the point is to eliminate harmonic interference, between the cylinders.
So shouldn't you be trying to pick up the cylinders that fire the furthest apart from one another like 1-4 3-2? You guys definitely know something that every motorsport engineer doesn't, please educate us!!

Merging 1-4 and 3-2 cylinder is the ideal fire order. However, due to the limited amount of space the s2000 has. Merging 1-2 3-4 does not effect the Harmonic balance of the motor. It is no different than a logged styled turbo manifold, except the better flow to the turbo. As for the design of a manifold, I once heard from a Senior Mechanical engineer from lockheed Martin that it is more important for a manifold to be equal length than balance pulse width, for turbo applicated vehicle. And of course be even better if it had balanced pulse width and equal length.
For all those previously interested in purchasing this manifold, the GB is open here:
