Default Prop Shaft play

Lately I have noticed a slight rattle noise at low speeds coming from the rear of the car. I recently put in a 4:57 dif (February)

I have adjustable metal sway bar mounts (had for 2 years) and they make a little noise when cold, but quiet up after a few miles.

Today I got under the car to double check all the diff mounting bolts (all were torqued to spec) just to make sure nothing loosened up.

I did however notice a good amount of play in the Prop shaft, maybe a 1/4 inch and it makes a little noise when I rotated the tires.

I know there are the CV joints and u-joints in the axle and the diff all need some play. Is this much normal?

Suggestions?

do you hear a gear whine? may be the transmission tailshaft bearing wornout?

You might have someone check it out if it starts getting louder. Also take a sample of the diff, and tranny oil and send it to blackstone labs. and it will tell you if it gears or bearing ware.
