Proper Engine Break-in Technique Article
I think that has been posted before. Personally, I would do anything to a race engine since it will be rebuilt more frequently. Aggressive break-in is synonymous for abuse. Definately not for an S2000.

Can you dispute what he says with any kind of knowledge of engines? I'd love to hear what UL has to say about this. I don't think he chimed in the last time.

I've heard that each new NSX is taken out on a test track and test driven fairly hard to make sure everything is correct with it. I'm not sure about the S2000, but it's built at the same factory. This is why most cars have between 5 and 10 miles on them when you first get them because they are run through some kind of test course before being put in the lot or on the truck. I've seen first hand how the people doing the testing drive these cars, hard...

Personally I'll stick with what the Honda engineers say. Why beat the piss out of a brand new car for 5 extra horsepower.
