A couple of weeks a ago my sarter was acting up. VERY long story short, it turned out that the little wire that goes into the starter had come out. Anyways while I was underneath the car putting the wire back in, I seem to have knocked out a sensor. It is connected to the same wire as the wire to the starter before branching off a few inches before it gets to the starter, so I know it has to go somewhere around there, but I can't see in there well enough to figure it out. It is a small cylinder with a little prong sticking out the end. My check engine light is on now and I have to get a smog check to renew my registration. If anyone has experience with this please help.

nevermind. Its the knock sensor. I found it. thanks though.
