Default Pulling the CEL code.

I finally found the OBD port and jumped pins 4 and 9. By the way, I did this because I had blinking CEL and ofcourse after towing to the house. But, the CEL does not blink upon turning the key. The ABS and EPS lights blink, but the CEL just stares at me. Am I doing something wrong?

When using the jumper trick, you are shorting the SCS (service check signal) to ground. The SCS will display DTC's for EPS, ABS, SRS, and MIL/CEL. It is possible you have EPS and ABS DTC's stored. These DTC's can be looked up in the HELMS. I think I have actually posted all the EPS DTC's from HELMS brfore. Although it does seem odd that you had a blinking CEL before, and now no CEL and EPS ABS DTC's instead.

I would get the car scanned with a scanner/OBDII code reader, as well as try and decipher what DTC's the EPS and ABS lights are trying to express. BTW a normal aftermarket OBDII scan tool will only check the CEL DTC's, the jumper trick is the only way to check EPS, ABS, SRS DTC's without a trip to dealer (and maybe an $80.00 charge) or pretty substantial investment in diagnostic toys. Good Luck

Am I doing something wrong?
Who knows? Here is a good example to follow.

EDIT: Here's a list of EPS DTC's from the HELMS manual.

EDIT: ABS, EPS, SRS DTC's are in the HELMS
